On Wednesday, August 14th, Our Owner, Tim Beckham had the privilege to give back to our community by serving lunch at the Homeless Empowerment Program (HEP) in Clearwater. It was a humbling experience interacting with veterans, listening to understand their story which has left me with a deep sense of gratitude.
I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to Rick Vaughn and Barbara Green for providing me with this opportunity to serve those in need, especially veterans. As a former Tampa Bay Ray, spending the majority of my playing career in Florida, it’s incredibly meaningful to be able to contribute to the community.
Homeless Empowerment Program is a remarkable organization dedicated to helping individuals overcome homelessness. Their work is inspiring, and I am honored to have played a small part in their mission. Serving lunch was more than just providing a meal; it was about connecting with people, offering a moment of kindness, and showing that their voices matter.
