Our Process:

  1. Schedule your Free Consultation: Your consultation appointment can be scheduled by calling our office or booking online directly from our website. Information we’ll capture includes: name, phone number, email address, property address, scope of work, and how you heard about us.
  2. Assessment and Measurement: The next step is to assess the condition of your existing windows or doors with a full inspection to verify replacement is necessary. Assuming replacement is indeed recommended, we will capture measurements and pictures to document the anticipated scope of work.
  3. Designing the Perfect Solution: Next, we’ll perform a discovery process to ensure we understand your needs and objectives from which we’ll make recommendations for your particular project to help solve your problem, save you money, and enhance your property. We offer a wide range of products to help meet your needs for energy efficiency, curb appeal, and budget.
  4. Review and Sign Our Proposal: Once we have your project defined, we’ll send you a digital proposal the same day that can be conveniently signed completely online once you’re ready to move forward. No paper headaches here! A signed copy will be emailed to you afterwards for your records.
  5. Final Measure Appointment: After the proposal is signed, that’s when the fun begins! Our Operations team will take over and coordinate with you for final measure at which point they’ll finalize the specifications of your project. The objective of this visit is to allow our installer an opportunity to visualize your project to ensure we have precise measurements on all window and door materials and to make certain we have everything we need to get the job done on install day efficiently and as effectively.
  6. Ordering the Materials: At Wallaby Windows, we operate with a sense of urgency. As soon as we’ve determined the ideal sizing of your replacement windows or doors, we’ll place your order with the manufacturer or supplier within 24 hours of final measure.
  7. Receipt of the Materials: As soon as your materials arrive at our local facility, we’re reaching out to you to schedule your installation date and time. Installation typically occurs between 1 and 2 weeks from receipt of materials and is always weather dependent.
  8. Homeowner Preparation: Before installation day, we ask that you clear the area around the windows or doors in scope both inside and outside your home to allow for a minimum of 3 feet of access to each unit. Remove any curtains, blinds, or furniture that may obstruct access to the windows unless otherwise defined within our initial consultation and documented within the proposal. For heavier objects, we are happy to assist on installation day.
  9. Installation Day: We value the trust you place in our company and expect to take care of your property as if it were our own, no exceptions. On install day, we’ll take precautions to protect your belongings, including flooring by placing drop cloths and wearing shoe protection or removing shoes as we operate inside of the property.
  10. Removal of Old Windows: The old windows will be removed carefully, most often from the exterior, to avoid damaging the surrounding area and preserving your interior casing. This may involve prying out the old window frames and sashes. The goal is to be as minimally invasive as possible.
  11. Preparation of Opening: After removing the old windows or doors, the opening will be inspected for any damage or rot. Any necessary repairs will be made to ensure a secure fit for the new windows. We will not install a new unit in a compromised opening so rest assured we’ll do it right the first time. We don’t cut corners for the sake of efficiency at Wallaby.
  12. Installation of New Windows: The replacement windows or doors are carefully fitted into the opening and secured in place per manufacturer's installation best practices. This may involve using shims to ensure proper alignment for a plumb, level, square install.
  13. Sealing and Insulation: Once the windows are in place, they will be insulated with premium OSI Max closed-cell insulation foam and then sealed around the edges to prevent air and water infiltration with OSI Quad Max Sealant. Proper insulation and sealant with premium products such as OSI are non-negotiable at Wallaby Windows and are the difference between an inferior installation and the correct installation. These products also support improved energy efficiency. We expect the best, and the best is what our customers get.
  14. Trim and Finishing Touches: Trim pieces including new stops may be necessary on the interior application for a finished look. Otherwise, the exterior of your new windows or doors will be trimmed out to cover any gaps and create a finished look. Depending upon the application type, this could be via aluminum coil, PVC, cement fiber, or common board. The exterior wrapping will involve another application of caulking to complete the trim work and protect further against water and/or air infiltration.
  15. Cleanup: After the installation is complete, the area will be cleaned up, and any debris or old materials will be removed from your property.
  16. Final Inspection: A final walkthrough inspection will be conducted by our team to ensure that the new windows or doors are installed correctly and functioning properly. Any issues or concerns requiring service will be addressed before the installation team leaves.
  17. Enjoy Your New Windows: Once the installation is finished and everything has been inspected, it’s now time to enjoy the benefits of your new replacement windows or doors; including improved energy efficiency, enhanced curb appeal, and increased comfort.
